OK - got me fingers crossed for the hospital invite. What are you going to be doing on your temporary contract? and may there be an option to make it permanent assuming you enjoy it?

The temporary job is just a generic clerical role but the pay isn't bad so am happy to have the opportunity. I've just checked my email and have to phone to progress another role with a view to a first interview next week. I just hope that something good comes out of it BigGrin

It is to sort out the administration at a firm of accountants, should be fairly safe as they've been in business for 90 years and are fully aware of what happened with the other lot! Its another new role but I've been assured by both their HR Manager and the senior partner that this job is safe (unlike others in the company).

They have just invested in new software (which I had never seen until I was asked to do an inbox exercise) so I'll get training on that, also I have £4k of funding from the Government to do NVQ 3 & 4 in business management so I'm hoping to do that too.

The very best bit, I could walk to work if the weather's bad as its in the town centre and they've matched my previous salary but also promised a good review - and actually seem to mean it. Obviously I'm still somewhat apprehensive after the last time. It was only last night when a friend turned up with a bottle of champagne that she admitted she had been just as concerned as me that I really wouldn't find another job Blink Blink

So, onwards and upwards because after I left the sofa shop I actually felt truly like me again for the first time in about 5 years.
